Lintel is an unofficial Chrome extension and phone userscript that gives students a faster way to use the room booking system of the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by SIT.
Lintel has no server of its own and no analytics, advertising or tracking. It does not send your data to the developer or to any third party, unless you choose to submit a problem report.
Lintel only runs on rbs.singaporetech.edu.sg, in your own logged-in session. It reads and displays what that site already shows you, including:
Lintel never sees your password. It does not sign in for you, and login stays on the site itself. A booking or cancellation only happens when you confirm it.
Requests go only to rbs.singaporetech.edu.sg, the same site you are already using. The only exception is a problem report, if you choose to submit one.
The Chrome extension uses Chrome's local extension storage. The phone version uses your browser's storage for the booking site. Both stay on your device and are not encrypted by Lintel. Lintel saves:
Slot data that includes other people's names is kept in memory only and is cleared when the page closes.
Uninstalling the Chrome extension removes everything it saved. On a phone, remove the userscript and clear your browser's site data for rbs.singaporetech.edu.sg.
The "Report a problem" link opens a Google Form, filled in with the Lintel build, the page you are on, and your browser details. You can edit any of it first. Nothing is sent unless you submit the form. Submitted reports are stored in Google Forms, under Google's privacy policy, and are used only to fix problems. Please do not include other people's names or IDs.
Lintel does not sell or share your data, or use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending. Its use of data is limited to providing the booking features described here.
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated.
